I have been trying to add real content and give to YOU what you want. The problem is that YOU are not joining the conversation here. Occassionally YOU leave a comment, let me know you are interested in what I have to say..
but often.. I am just passing time out loud. Have I failed at grabbing YOUR attention?
I am also so busy building up business/es that I dont have time to read YOUR blogs.. why should you have time for mine.. I understand completely, but just know.. I am here for YOU when / if you need me.
Guess I will have to talk about ME again..
I have created Yet another video. Yet another Putting myself OUT there.. I am my own WEB 2.0 vehicle. Can you Andrea that??
Rich Schefren is hosting a contest that makes the Next Internet Millionaire look like a childs tea party.. What is on offer? 4 prizes to 4 winners! Access to Rich and Jay Abraham, free entry to their seminar in Disney, Free copy of the Business Accelleration Program and $1000!..
A follower of Rich, and a new fan of mine, collected the top 25 videos for this contest, including mine of course, and said -
Andrea Yager’s entry - probably the reason this contest exists! and then when he included my other video.. (I think this is what spawned Rich’s contest!). He may not even know about my decapitation video from.. you guessed it 130 days ago (give or take)!
Can someone put that PLUG for ME on a billboard and digg and sphinn it? I mean if that isnt worth a ride on Space Mountain.. me being the muse behind the vehicle that is spitting out 100’s of free infomercials for my good friend, and fellow junk food maven, Rich.. then I dont know WHAT IS. Someone else who KNOWS me, KNOWS my mad marketing skills and capabilities said.. what was Joel Comm’s loss will be Rich Schefrens gain. Yes.. you have me right where you want me.
SO.. without further adieu.. here is my latest video.. but hang on and wait for voting instructions. Since I dont know how to effectively share information, cant be too outrageous in Jerusalem, and am too witty to be compelling.. I am expecting to be in the humorous category. They better put me in the humorous category. If they dont it will be cuz they dont want me to win!!
My almost call to Action:
Await my loyal fans and readers for further instructions. I know the cheesiest line EVER is that if I win, YOU win, since I will share what I learn with you. Sure at a price of $479 but you can be a JV and buy via your own affiliate link, since I am just super nice like that LOL..
A few days ago I started noticing a resurgence of spam posts. Before I could even finish deleting them, new ones were lining up. I immediately turned on comment moderation and now I have over 2000 + spam comments to DELETE.
The PROBLEM is that Wordpress times out after 30 seconds, so when I go to the comments awaiting moderation and click bulk moderate as SPAM, my browser hangs, performs an illegal operation
, and then I have to start over the entire process.
Bottom line is that I have found NO way to delete MASS comments without this happening and now I have to delete them 20 at a time. 2000 / 20 - you do the math. I may have to outsource it!
Most Internet Marketers earn their keep by promoting products on how you can promote online products or earn money from some tactic or another.
Every now and then a marketer develops a site/product/service which separates them from the pack and catapults them into being a serious player.
John Reese of ‘Traffic Secrets’ fame did just that.
His BlogRush syndication was developed to help increase FREE targeted traffic to your blog by placing a widget on your site that allows other blogs to see related material and vice versa. The Internet Marketing twists:
1) If someone clicks on a topic on your blog.. a new window will open so you dont lose a viewer.
2) You receive a viewing credit each time the BlogRush widget is viewed on your blog.
3) With ‘Kosher Style’ MLM, if you refer bloggers to BlogRush, then you can get ‘viewing credits’ based on the viewership of each blog you refer. Of course the problem with this.. if you sign up 10 sub par non active blogs, and it caps at 10 sub referrers, (which I believe I heard), then you may not get the results you like.
I am all for more Blog Traffic, but my ONE complaint and reason you do not currently see the BlogRush widget on my blog.. It is too wide and the script does not allow me to play with the sizes, as I have done for MyBlogLog, and Bumpzee. I could not find any way to contact them via their very well put together site. Any advice?
I highly recommend you get started with BlogRush today, since like other MLM’s those in first stand to benefit the most. Plus its just a great all round asset for your Blog, and it looks nice too. No Hype Needed.
This is a ‘quickie’ (no pun intended)… but I just want a blogging question answered.
*DISCLAIMER - for those of you seriously considering hiring me to turn your struggling online presence into a star-studded affair, do not be discouraged by my need to ask these questions. I can back it up with 7 years of serious internet marketing and it’s those who ASK who LEARN. Yes I could have googled it, but this is MORE FUN and just maybe I am a keyword GENIUS to write this post.
Moving on….
What is the difference between being ‘tagged’ and a ‘meme’? Rather, I know what it means to tag, but how should the ‘tagee’ react if tagged vs being ‘memed’.
I ‘tagged’ a few people and the end result was that one person wrote a blog post about the subject (which was cool) and someone else ‘memed’ me and I just commented on their blog…
All I wanted was to start conversations and get comments.
Fortunately and Unfortunately I need your help. The last few days my blog had some server issues and now that I am able to post, my baby decided to sleep 8 hours in a row last night (yah!), leaving me on the verge of a breast infection today (blah!). I am in pain, and waiting for the tylenol to do what it can. The added bonus - my car has no a/c and I live in the Middle East and I was out all day in 100F, so I am just barely alive. Can you help me finish my thoughts today (or buy me a new car :)!)?
Over dinner a few nights ago, there was a conversation between myself and Others who DONT get ‘the whole web thing’.
They agreed that when starting any new business venture, online or offline, solid good advice is to look around at others in your field, either in your ‘niche’ or just generally successful, and imitate them.
This is not to suggest common practice where I live - that you open a ‘felafel store’ next door to another ‘felafel store’ since they appear to be raking it in. ![]()
However, if you visualize the internet as it is.. the biggest strip mall EVER.. (you know what I mean by strip right?? I am out of the USA so long I just want to make sure this is the proper term!
).. that means we may all be opening up stores right ‘next to each other’ but the ENTIRE WORLD is our potential customer. That leaves plenty to go around, and room for very healthy competition!
The conversation continued…
Fine!! Agreed. Free Market Economy. Enough to go around. Snoop on your competitors, interview their friends and friends of their friends and milk them for details, do what you have to, but…
Why link to someone who is your competitor??
(Disclaimer - I cant shine the shoes of those ’supposed competitors’ but a healthy self esteem cant hurt, eh?)
Reebok and Nike / Pepsi and Coke / Walmart and K-Mart - competitors for generations. Can you picture them helping the other out? That may have saved them a lot of Advertising money!
Naturally a Blog, with nothing to sell, except the persona behind it, cannot exist in a vacuum.
Are we reaching who we want/need to by reaching out to each other?
To be perfectly honest, I could be completely off here. As cathartic and enjoyable as I find blogging, it was (is?) intended to be another piece in the puzzle towards helping me reach my online goal$$. I am currently not in a position, with a young family, to be writing only for pleasure (of course it helps that it offers me pleasure). Are you?
How do YOU explain this unique online relationship?
P.S - as I was searching for my last link love…. check out this post (will open new window). How ironic to stumble across Garry’s post as I was writing mine..and frankly a little LOT terrifying.
