Rich Schefren, one of the top business coaches online today, has done it AGAIN!!
A year or two ago he sent waves through the net with his Manifestos, drawing attention to how many businesses/individuals lack a good business strategy. Following this, he opened up his coaching program, and became a household name among online marketers (and probably started getting flooded with credit cards).
This time, his report highlights how we have accelerated quickly past the information age into the interruption age, and are sitting pretty in the attention age.. There is so much technology and ‘life’ being thrown at us, that small business owners have to work double time to acheive the same results, and we spend most of our days being unproductive..

I for one can attest to that. I know that I have children, including a baby who likes to be held, but why does it take me days sometimes to get one complete blog post written?
Rich is offering a nice bonus for the individual who drums up the most attention for his new report.
I created 2 videos. The first was meant to be the only one, but the comments I heard encouraged me to make another one:
“disgusting”
“immoral”
“awesome”
“you may finally have success”
“bad taste”
It was that last one that didnt sit well with me. I am quite the G-d fearing girl and didnt want to be leaving videos around the web with ‘bad taste’. Although, since it was totally a matter of opinion, I still left it up to be seen and will include the links here..
In the 2nd video, I removed the ‘offensive’ material and made some other changes.. This is called the ‘clean version’ and used most of the material of the first video changing the last 30 seconds or so. Maybe less people will wonder what the heck is going on when they view this one!
My video example highlights more how I personally am trying to juggle my work, family life, other commitments.. I imagine growing up in a Mom and Pop rural town before the new technology must have had it’s advantages.. Well in a matter of years we have gone from Mom and Pop to everyone being able to peek into each others rooms, lives, culture, etc.. One of the reasons I want to earn more money is to actually have more time to enjoy all the new technology, information, entertainment the world has to provide (sans the smut)
My first video I attempted to do something attention grabbing. Check out this video and be warned… you may not want to watch with children around.. Second to stripping (not happening) I tried to use whatever means I had available to me and my NON existant video creation skills to illustrate that I know how to grab attention!

I hope you guys enjoyed my efforts. I worked very very VERY VERY hard. I may have used some other props, but that baby is all MINE + the Mom who needs computer help + the other 3 children + job + working for myself + a car with no a/c in the MIDDLE EAST heat…as I write this my children are playing doctor as me being the patient.. but Rich, I am all HERE. 100% focused and ready for part II.

I have so much to write about this show I dont know where to start. Here are some random thoughts:Â
1) Being a Round II contestant (video below), Its getting way too personal, so … www.andreayager.com is borne and will be online shortly to continue discussing it, while allowing me to maintain my focus and purpose for this blog. Lesson to be learned here - BRANDING!! So if your name becomes a BRAND, run with it! (should I not get selected it may rot on my hard drive along with so many other ideas and plans that burnt out) Â
 2) I am looking forward to NEXT year almost MORE than this year.. That may sound odd considering I hope to be a PART of this show, but I am certain Joel, Eric, the producers, etc. will learn a LOT (as will we all) from this experience and next year will be the refined version. Not to mention, I expect the publicity from this event will bring in, what we can only hope, a LOT more contestants, with the bar of video submissions being raised significantly. Â
 3) Some mudslinging is already happening over on the Forum.. Seems one contestant is trying to pave the road to be the Resident Meanie, and secure himself a spot on the show as the ‘will take anyone down who gets in my path’. I know they want a show that entertains, but not sure at what or whose expense.. I have never seen any reality shows :).. Just a few episodes of American Idol. I was so off in who they selected to the 2nd round, that I hesitate to make any assumptions about what they actually want and jump to any conclusions…. unless it includes me participating! Â
 4) Thanks to those who have made mention to ME and LIKING ME As most bloggers, I pay a close watch to Blogs linking to me - and lo and behold…..

 Someone picked me out as one of the few videos he mentioned me on a Squidoo Lens on the next internet millionaire subject, and George Manty, a blogger from the Stompernet $1 trial, wrote in his Awesome blog to Give Andrea and Cliff (another contestant) a Perfect 10! Â

I thought I was going to get my life back… as in back to regular full time mommy, full time part time job, full time part time running a small business, full time part time running this blog, full time part time working on other residual streams of income, etc. etc.. but then.. 2 things happened:
1) I MADE IT TO THE TOP 50!!! for nextinternetmillionaire.com. I have to submit a new video by tomorrow night (aka tonight since its after midnight) and try out to get a spot as one of the ‘lucky 12′.. if you call going on a show and possibly getting humiliated and kicked off right away lucky that is! Well.. I am not so pleased with how my video is turning out. I think I like the idea, but I cant do it properly without professional video graphics, of which I dont have access or knowledge of.

2) My continuation with StomperNet - I orignally signed up last month for a $1 trial period of a month. They are otherwise known as the group that ‘Stomps the search engine’ and has a pretty large group of successful online entrepreuners paying $797 per month. Knowing full well that I could not continue at that price, I expected it to be a one month glimpse. However, they rolled out their $97/month option and I decided to do it for at least this month. First of all, they deserve it for what they gave me for $1, second of all.. I did not have the time to follow through last months work due to number 1) above!!

I know I am in good company with the quality of video created and I used that as an excuse to allow me to say enough is enough. Part of me kept saying ‘this is an opportunity that does not come up EVER!’ The other part was saying ‘this is one more distraction you cant afford to allow in your life right now’. So I combined both and spent HOURS (and DAYS) to offer a crappy submission I am sure you are all RUNNING to vote for me now. Really. Go. NOW and VOTE 10 (or I will come after you).

Assuming we use the word Blogger as a ‘verb’ which describes it literally to be ‘one who blogs’, calling oneself a ‘Blogger’ may give someone else a false impression of what you REALLY are doing.Ok, lets try and say that again :). You could collect many different individuals who BLOG, and some may be offended by the freedom with which someone else allows themselves to attach themselves to this line of ‘work’, or perhaps ‘pleasure’.

Sometimes I make no sense no matter how many times I try :).

For example… Pat Conroy may take offense that Danielle Steel calls herself a novelist…. and many serious bloggers may take offense that others who just Blog to make a buck and create cheap trashy sites spitting out RSS content and plaster them with Google Adsense (I said PLASTERED people - nothing wrong with me trying to pay for my chocolate habit) .

I am straddling the fence since I am really peddling a business here, but refuse to blog without trying to add my own personal flair, style and believe it or not - my own written words! Dont let that surprise you. Many marketers such as myself get ahead by buying the rights to use public label rights (PLR) content that someone else has created. In fact I have such a membership where I receive monthly material all related to marketing. Yet every time I look through the list of articles, searching for a good blog post, I see lots of great information, but its like HO HUM.. if I cant get through it, why would I expect you to?? Good news - gonna save myself $12.95 a month now!

This makes my professional life a little complicated since I admire that which this was not set out to be, yet I fully intend to keep delivering. Therefore the rules will just have to keep changing to what Suits me best, and I guess that really what Blogging is all about.

2) You may think you are super woman / mom, but your posts prove otherwise - you write ‘it’s’ when it should be ‘its’ you write ‘Squiddo’ when it should be ‘Squidoo’, and your family has NO clue what this whole site is about - AFTER visiting! I mean what does a video of a birth of an Island have to do with anything else on this site???

3) The more I speak with family and friends about sites that they work for, or sites of their friends, the more I realize how many simple SIMPLE tools small businesses overlook that could really skyrocket their business. I realize that I should jump with 2 feet into almost ANY niche market and have advantages over my competition…

4) Eat Bananas Daily - Apparently they are good for like every part of your body.

I am interrupting my current series due to an inability to continue without sharing this great news. Am I struggling to make money online?? It is hard to say. I definitely belong in the rare category of someone who can talk the talk.. but have a hard time walking the walk.. meaning I possess more knowledge than most, but have not really been able to profit from it much.Most people are somewhere along the path of just beginning to understand, putting the pieces together, or actually profiting. The reason I dont really belong to any of those 3 is because of a revelation I was told that really took me aback.
Its not that I didn’t know this about myself. Its that I refused to believe that It was true. Wanna know what it was?
