Ever catch yourself trying to figure out how someone else is making their money, and wishing you knew their secrets or strategies?
You might think they’re better at generating leads, working out better partnerships, or writing better sales pitches. Then you find yourself trying to copy them.
And nobody notices you. Or worse, people notice that you’re “just like those other guys”.
While it’s great to emulate those who are successful, it’s also up to you to think, build, and create for yourself. The best way to do that is not to look at other marketers, but to look at the market.
BECOME AN I-WANT-YOU MARKETER
It’s crazy, but the less you focus on other’s strategies and success, and more on how to communicate with your market, the more you’ll start to create your own identity, and the faster you will become known for “thinking outside the box”.
Along with this approach will come more money, more understanding, and a tighter grip on your positioning.
Soon, you will notice the me-toos copying you.
Seriously, which operation do you think will last longer and be more valuable to you and your market: the one you copy from other marketers, or the one you create for your customers?

Here we are on the morning of the much anticipated release of Attention Age Doctrine Part II. The Doctrine that tells you how to maximize success in a world where keeping somoene’s attention is becoming increasingly more difficult..
Yet I will be the FIRST to admit.
I am NOT really looking that forward to reading another document. I download and buy more products than I have time to digest, and I am actually petrified that I will completely MISS the POINT.
Therefore I want to say it NOW, on the BLOG, for the record! WHAT IS IT THAT WE (I) Want from Rich Schefren. What is it that WE can get from HIM??
If you are looking to make some fast web cash, you will enjoy the free information and pick up some great tips and tools. But you can do that at the Warrior Forum, and just about from any clickbank product (if you follow it).
Nothing wrong with fast cash, but there comes a certain time in your career, when you realize that fast cash may be here today, but gone tomorrow. That for the sake of longevity, and the real meaning of passive income, there is so much opportunity in actually having a proper functioning business, that combined with your IM skills, if you allign yourself with the proper people and tools, you may have a blueprint to follow and people who care if you succeed. Thats Rich Schefren.
It doesnt matter if you want to focus on rapid weight loss, left handed fly fishers, or becoming an online consultant - you can either view yourself as pitching a product or creating a BUSINESS. If you are just creating a product.. then WHAT NEXT?? If you are creating a business (which YES you can around a niche), then you can position yourself to go very very far.
Which is just want I plan to do. Looking forward to it Rich.. and the business systems that follow!
Over at his blog, Rich shared with everyone my Video and admited that he deserved my creative dig! The comments that followed.. well lets just say they were WAY kinder than I expected. It was suggested more than once that Rich put me on his team ;)!!

About 6 months ago or so, MANY online marketers (newbies and seasoned) signed up for a $1 trial to StomperNet. The StomperNet program claims to ’stomp the search engines’ and build your business to be a SERIOUS business, and at an $800 monthly membership fee, this trial seemed like a no brainer!
Only once we entered, did we find out that they were offering their trial members a special system called Stomper Simple. The plan of simple was to help EVERYONE get an online affiliate business up and running. Everyone was to take a product of their choice at Clickbank and pre-sell it. Part of their system including creating ‘Kitchen Table Copy’. The idea is that you print out 4 different salesletters of competing products, and place them all on your kitchen table. Take a red marker and highlight all the best parts of each salespage and then create one ‘knock em dead’ salesletter.
But what’s the catch? After creating this awesome salespage you have to send them to ANOTHER full blown Clickbank salespage! Many of the better products - better meaning that according to Stomper Simple ‘mathematics’ it’s an easier sale - include poor salespages, opt-ins, and just a LOT more reading to get to the order form.
When you pitch a product, you have to make it READILY available - dont ask them to jump through ANOTHER hoop!
Here was a question I posed to my Stomper Team - Is there a way to SKIP the clickbank salespage? Go straight to their order form?? There are MANY benefits to this beyond the Stomper Simple method..
After surfing the web a bit yesterday, I accidentely fell on the solution! Here is what Lynn Terry from ClickNewz says: (ok this is copy and paste to make sure you get the technical details right - hope thats ‘kosher’ in the blogosphere)
Typically, when you are promoting a ClickBank product as an affiliate you will use what they call a “hoplink†to the merchant’s sales copy. That hoplink tracks the click-through’s and you get credit for every sale in the form of commission.
In the rare case that you want to bypass the merchant’s sales copy, you can set up a direct link to the checkout page that will still track your referrals. Here’s how you do that…
clickbank.net/sell.cgi?YOURID_MERCHANTID/ProductNumber/ProductName
You will need to put the “http://†in front of that, and also make sure the link comes out all on one line - it breaks into two lines here on this page, but you want to make sure to create the link with no spaces or breaks.
There are 4 things you need to edit in that link:
YOURID which is your ClickBank ID
MERCHANTID the merchant’s ClickBank ID
ProductNumber
ProductName
The product name and product number can be found in the merchant’s original checkout link. What I usually do is view the merchant’s sales copy page, then click View > Source in my browser. This brings up the source code for the page, and you can locate the order button and analyze their order link.
Lynn also suggests asking the merchant for permission.. and testing it out! When you click to purchase at the bottom of the purchase page you should see your affiliate name in brackets at the bottom.

The next trick is to figure out how to not have others steal your clickbank commissions.
Speaking of Stomper Simple - all the participants say that the best part were the relationships created. I added like 30 names to my skype and chat regularly with 3 of them and of course everyone knows my new friend George! Certainly worth the $1!!
P.S. I want to give you one more trick than I promised in this post. Here goes … it’s to do with spying on your competitors ads … If you could check EXACTLY what keywords your competitors are bidding on in Google adwords and find out how much they are paying per click, how many ads they are running, and what is converting for them you would probably think you would have to Google to find out that stuff? NO! I use a software called Affiliate Elite. What will Affiliate Elite do for YOU? All the stuff I mentioned in the second sentence of this paragraph! And as well as seeing what ads your competitors are using how much they are paying etc. you can also use it to find potential affiliates to promote your products - clever eh? Check it out.

I am reflecting.
The whole attraction of Earning an Online income is to be Free from a BOSS and from a J.O.B.. However, picture this scenario:
You wake up, send your children off to school, and go to your 9 to 5 job. You are home by 6 PM and have the night with your family - for yourself! You get holidays off like Thanksgiving!! Regular Paycheck!! Benefits!! Vacation!! Maybe you even make friends and get to listen to the radio and gossip while at work!! Or BETTER YET - you surf the web and learn how to make money online while your BOSS PAYS YOU!! Sweeeet..
The other scenario:
You work from home at your computer. 6 PM comes and goes. Dinner is served, cleared away, your laptop is still running on the end of the table. You get an email notification, so ’sorry honey’ let me just see who that is.. bedtime stories are read, children in bed… now hurry!! hurry! back to the computer
AH.. yes. now that I have worked all day, and the children are asleep. AHH another evening of some alone time with ME and My Computer.
10:30 PM - I WILL NOT BE TOO TIRED. I WILL WORK LONGER. LATER. ALL NIGHT IF I HAVE TO…
CRASH
3:30 AM one eye opens to survey the scene. I have somehow made it 3 feet away to the couch.
I am refreshed. I have had almost 5 hours of sleep! Bathroom, brush my teeth (well sometimes), no need to get in PJ’s since the whole pitch we offer is working at home in our PJ’s!! (added for drama, but when I look back and read this in 30 years I must note for the record that I am always dressed!), and then…back to the computer.
So now when I think THANKSGIVING, I am thinking that with no JOB to not have to go to.. what is there really to be thankful for? Another reason to feel guilty hanging out at the computer and ignoring the family?
Not that we celebrate Thanksgiving where I live. Here we say thanks ALL the time. Before we eat food, after we use the bathroom, before we go to sleep at night, and when we wake up in the morning.
Since this is a time when family gets together and we spread all over the globe, let me bring a piece of my family here:

Where I live, it is not uncommon for someone.. virtually ANYONE.. to ask:
How much do you earn?
What is your rent?
How much did you pay for your apartment?
and the like…
From experience, ahem.. I understand that this is NOT standard practice .. elsewhere.
First of all, one of the most important topics to be educated on, by example, through others experience, is that of MONEY. When you cloak the details in secrecy, you may not be helped or help others. When navigating around the beauracracy that accompanies jobs, maternity leave, landlords, tenants, property tax, cleaning help rates, and on and on.. do you really feel equipped to learn by trial and error?
I am always annoyed when I hear elderly parents say they dont want to ‘interfere’ with the actions of their children. On PURPOSE. That is their way of helping! Isnt one of the MAIN reasons you are at least 20 years older and WISER to allow your children to benefit from your experiences and not stop the ‘parenting’ at 21. Maybe I am just spoiled for having a father that is one of the foremost experts on FINANCE in the WORLD (who will read and say .. honey, you cant use the word foremost in that context or something like that - THANKS DAD - I dont Want to look like a Moron, so keep it coming!) Lets not even START with my MOM and her interference! After all, every blog needs at least ONE regular commentator!!
I recently was talking to a VERY good friend about pay rates and was SHOCKED to learn the discrepancy in what I thought was good pay and what is really good pay.
I also recently mentioned a book promotion (since a friend wrote a chapter and I KNOW he knows his stuff) about 20 ways to earn $100/ day. Before the book was promoted, I believe the question was posed of WOULD that do it for you? $3000/mos is really NOT a lot of money, but to some who have yet to earn .50 cents .. It sounds like a TON…. ok I am wandering..
There is no barometer to measure the salary an at home online marketer, so how do you know what you could earn, whats avg, and so on and so forth if you dont TALK about it!.. So in this world of ONLINE MARKETING where we make friends out of strangers via this forum, that social network, this 30 day challenge, etc.., and our ‘goal’ is one and the same, but so not…. do YOU talk money?
If prodded just a teensy bit, I will divulge all..

Fact: I have been part of a small mastermind group of fellow marketers. Ideas were discussed, shared, and the clause was made very clear “what is said in this room, stays in this room, and BELONGS to those who mention it - not to the group”.
Fact: One of the marketers is someone whom I admire - like a whole lot, feel honored to be able to contact at will, etc. etc.. all good things. I felt lucky to be included!
Fact: About 2 weeks ago, he noncholantly mentioned his intention to market as PLR (public label rights - content you can buy and then put your name on, therefore you can sell larger quantities for more affordable prices..) one of my ’secret niches’ that I mentioned in our meetings.
Of course I thought he was joking.. and say “ha, good one”
He - “I’m serious”
Me - “what about secret alliance??” (remember I am a big wimp and a little scared of this bloke, so thats about as bold as I was going to get)
He - “OH! You mean it was YOU who came up with the idea - I couldnt remember. Hang on a second”… (I am hanging on in Skype).. “yes, you are right! X (his assistant) remembers it being you.”
Now I am feeling relieved at the close call! Whew! He was about to sell it to the PUBLIC at large - and the Internet Marketers who know what to do with a niche public! So glad we had this conversation and caught it..
Next Day He says:
“So do you want to buy it or shall I sell it as PLR?”
Say WHAT? I mean truth be told, buying the materials helps me get a LOT of steps closer to completing a task.. great - I admit that this is not 100% rotten for me.. but OFFER it to me.. dont talk about PROFITS, and EXPENSES..
YOU MESSED UP But I have to pay for it??
Fact: Repeating my choices if you are following. To either pay TOP DOLLAR and be the exclusive owner, and I mean top dollar since I could have personally outsourced all those pieces and gotten MORE for the money for half price, OR just resign myself to the fact that he already worked hard (poor thing!!) on the topic, and watch him sell it for less than $50 to an open hungry market.
Last I checked… that is called BLACKMAIL.
Of course I had a CHOICE.. he didnt extort the money from me, but well.. here is a quote from a good friend of mine about the subject:
“I think everyone has an A/B switch. That defy’s the purpose of a mastermind. I am a firm believer in disclosure forms to help people remember their rightful obligation when they have convenient moments to forget.”
The bizarre part is that He had been SO nice to me, offering me ‘freebies’, advice (in his cryptic style), etc.. but when he didnt offer to scrap the product or to have me buy it at cost.. I was really floored. About a week later, I thought we were coming to a head when he asked me what I really wanted (prior to this convo I was delaying an answer hoping he would come around). I came clean and told him that I wanted to pay half his asking price.
When he responded “but then I would not make any profit”, thats when I realized it was a lost cause. In fact when I was finally paying, he had quoted me 2 prices - one $25 less than the other, and I went ahead and paid him the the higher quote - clearly he needs the money. (even though in that same conversation he mentioned he was making 5 figures a month)
Listen.. if you are all about money today and not thinking about the long term benefits of having someone local be on YOUR side, and a potential JV, or just general good contact, ESPECIALLY when you know that this particular woman has just had a change in fortune and is definitely ‘ON THE MAP’, and that you screwed up… well then my friend, I can see no reason to trust you and work with you again. I hope the couple of dollars earned from this deal was worth it.
Btw just feel like saying this now - my ‘angel’ told me that you never want to go to a PPC affiliate convention, since everyone there acts like total morons.. they figure the dumber you come across the more likely you will be able to convince someone to give you their keywords and then you can go home and steal their campaign. Instead of a marketing group where sharing is power, here being an idiot is the secret to success.
Maybe this post is pointless and makes me sound a lot more ‘emotional’ than I really am lol and maybe I dont care that much about it really.. but maybe thats a problem too.

First of all.. BIG BIG thanks to BIG Jason who recommended I download a new plugin called Spam Karma - took about 10 minutes to get rid of what had become over 3000 spam comments! It may be blocking YOUR comments as well, but go ahead and try it out.
Everyday there is another product launch and I am not certain am I supposed to use my blog to pitch to people in the off chance I will make an affiliate commission, or because you may come across something really valuable.

I still have not looked into how to fully make the most of them, and since I am moving away from the ‘IM’ niche, most of them may not apply, but clickbank has tons of non IM niche markets covered.
Well.. if you are interested in more info, then I advise you to check out this FINAL VIDEO! Do you find his voice a little annoying or is it just me??
Now to explain the title of this post. Apparantely some people are getting burned and sick of the latest and greatest product . When I asked my friend Mike, if he had heard about this latest launch for this product called Google Payload, that was responsible for flooding my inbox with bonues, he said no.. and then said If I want Manure, I will go to Home Depot. Growing up with lots of boys, I always find toilet humor funny
I suspect he made that comment as a means to protect himself from buying another product. When you are an Internet Marketer, it is not too hard to see the amazing value in a product and earn back it’s cost within days…. but this takes away from focus time, accomplishing time, and ultimately, creating a solid business and not fly by night quick cash systems.
Check this out and let me know how this product differs, and what makes it a no brainer for you? Basically anything to do with CPA lately is all the rage. Google Payload.

and I cant tell you exactly what you need to do, since I dont know how ‘nice’ it is.. so you may have to sleuth a bit.. but here is the upshot!
A recent Next Internet Millionaire finalist and by finalist I mean top 2 (ok, narrowing it down for you), has just launched a book about going from a desk job to being the next internet millionaire (ok.. now we got this part nailed). On the sales page for the book, you are offered thousands of dollars worth of bonuses. Basically every internet marketer and his mother is offering you something for free, as long as they get you to opt-in to their list. Definitely helps to sell the book, and satisfies everyone. Many of you would BUY the book JUST for those bonuses. I really wanted the affiliate video brander by Eric Holmlund. For all those videos I keep cranking out (all in good time)
Ok.. moving on .. so on a certain FORUM where a handful of people talk about this reality show.. and more than a handful read without commenting , a forum poster congratulates or says something similar the final 2, and clearly states her (this narrows it down bigtime) particular preference to which of the 2 should be the victor, namely the one who wrote the aforementioned book. In this post, she provides a link to the finalists website, which HAPPENS to be the website you are directed to FOLLOWING the purchase of the book.
Therefore, if you go to this website and are NOT sold on her Upsell - the offer you receive prior to getting your promised bonuses.. then you can just scroll to the bottom of the page and click where it says something like - no thanks, just take me to my bonuses! Then, VOILA - 10k of bonuses at your fingertips. LOL… its funny to think that its a big deal to save $27 to get these bonuses, but hey.. since I just ‘happened’ upon it, I thought I would share. But so I dont get flamed, just go ahead and buy the book! On the other hand.. why are they not also promoting this website as a standalone and not just an upsell? The offer on that page is by far more compelling than reading a book.
I am really hoping the powers that be correct this problem to protect her. As I was writing this I was beginning to feel bad about it - so my loyal blog readers (mom) - what do you think?

I have a few posts to squeeze in before my eyes shut, my head bobs, and the keyboard meets my face…
In my typical fashion, I am a good week behind the latest episode. As of tomorrow at this time, my speculation will be yesterdays news.
It was always Charles Trippy, wasnt it? He slid by the first few episodes by not ’sucking’ (aka not volunteering to be a group leader), and at some point established himself as a likely candidate.
Joel has worked very hard to talk Charles up to the viewers, to Charles, to himself.. creating Charles to be what Joel wants (NEEDS) him to be. Charles is really a fantastic choice. He is:
- Young
- Clearly talented in a Web 2.0 way
- Not too eager
- Geek inside a cool persona
- Famous in his own right, thereby ensuring a much easier success for a JV, ultimately the onus that lies on JC’s head.
and most important:
So Joel reinvents himself, looks like a do gooder, and Trippy acheives what he was slated for anyway - becoming an internet success. In fact.. if I had to guess, and this is REALLY a long shot.. The JV is already in motion and set to launch TOMORROW - on the heels of winning - Check this out:

Charles.. an unsolocited tip.. cuz I would want someone to tell me: I love you and all.. but man you MUST check yourself out in one of those mirrors women carry around to see the back of their head and hair. You look great up front, but once you turn to the side, the HAIR is Out of Control.
P.S. - The only part that STINKS about this whole thing is that Charles was offered money to participate in the contest. As a YouTuber, his audition entry was intended to draw attention, encourage other entrees, etc..Of course, like most everything else - I just MAY be wrong about this statement, about the JV, about pretty much this whole post - its great being a wishy washy woman sometimes! …
